Digital scenographer
C aillou MV works on the design and production of video mappings, digital scenographies, interactive installations and immersive projections. His approach touches as much on video, photography, 3D, graphics, motion design, light and all forms of intersection between arts and technologies.
Specialized in visual arts and digital scenography, Caillou Michael VARLET, founded the company EnLight - "digital art at the service of humans and the environment", digital creation studio that develops unique projects at the crossroads of practices and audiences, where technology gives way to visual poetics.
Through mapping projections, the company places the human and environmental dimension at the center of its creations to offer, beyond the sensitive and aesthetic experience, a valuation of living together.
In 2018 he joined the graphic design team of Groupe F with whom he produced large-scale video projections. In 2019 he created images for the installation “Regarde” in the Tête d'Or park during the Festival of Lights in Lyon and artistically directed the creation “The flame of my dreams” in Montpellier during his Coeur de Ville in Light.
A former dancer, he masters the languages of the show and has a global vision of a creation and performance project. He creates scenographies for live shows, for the stage, in the fields of dance, music and theater. He collaborates and works with many companies in the performing arts industry: Cie Ayaghma, RidZ Cie, GMVL (Groupe des Musiques Vivantes de Lyon), Yasmina Reza, Cie En phase, Cie Grand Bal, Christine Hassid Project, Cie Entité etc.
He is an associate artist at the digital creation studio “Et Even Si” in Paris, specializing in the staging of theatrical pieces and operas. Their experience in performing arts has embraced, for twenty years, a great diversity of achievements, scenographies, images in various artistic fields. With the artistic director Serge Meyer they set up together the festival Image Sonore in Burgundy. Classical music and electronic music festival linked to international digital image work.
